About the Role
The Maintenance & Operations Technician is responsible for supporting facility maintenance, EHS activities, forklift operations, and production requirements, as needed, to ensure safe and efficient site operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on facility and production equipment.
- Support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, inspections, and housekeeping activities.
- Operate forklifts to move raw materials, finished goods, totes, and pallets throughout the facility.
- Load and unload trucks and assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.
- Restock production materials and maintain warehouse organization.
- Perform production operator duties, including filling bags, as needed to support customer demand and staffing requirements.
- Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work environment.
- Follow all safety, quality, and operating procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Site Leader.
Job Requirements
- Must be able to follow verbal and written procedures and instructions relating to safety, quality, and production.
- PPE is required - safety toe shoes or boots (safety glasses and ear plugs will be provided).
- Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work environment including work area and equipment.
- Must be able to stand in one area for extended periods of time, performing repetitive tasks.
- Forklift experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift certification
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
- Must be able to perform basic match skills
- Read, write, and comprehend English
- Must be able to work independently and as a team
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work scheduled shift based on production needs determined by the site leader
