About the Role

The Amarillo Composites Plant is seeking a Power and Controls Specialist. The Power & Control Specialist (PCS) is an hourly position responsible for maintaining all instrumentation, electrical and electronic devices, and systems in the Amarillo Plant, including computer-based control systems and medium voltage power distribution systems. This is a diverse role combining skills and abilities for electrical and electronic equipment and systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, dismantle, repair, reassemble, maintain, and calibrate electrical equipment and systems
  • Maintain equipment such as motors, motor controls, power distribution, lighting, and PLC systems
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Perform work from SAP-generated work orders
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis and TPM activities
  • Maintain 5S standards and support area/pillar activities
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Participate in safety and plant training
  • Complete accurate records and reports in SAP plant maintenance system

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 4 years electrical/electronic/instrumentation experience in industrial/manufacturing environment (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be drug free
  • Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (days and nights)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electrical or Electronic Systems Technology preferred
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Ability to use a multimeter
  • Ability to troubleshoot 24V DC and 120V AC controls
  • Ability to work with 120V and 480V power
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
