About the Role
The Amarillo Composites Plant is seeking a Power and Controls Specialist. The Power & Control Specialist (PCS) is an hourly position responsible for maintaining all instrumentation, electrical and electronic devices, and systems in the Amarillo Plant, including computer-based control systems and medium voltage power distribution systems. This is a diverse role combining skills and abilities for electrical and electronic equipment and systems
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, dismantle, repair, reassemble, maintain, and calibrate electrical equipment and systems
- Maintain equipment such as motors, motor controls, power distribution, lighting, and PLC systems
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation
- Perform work from SAP-generated work orders
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis and TPM activities
- Maintain 5S standards and support area/pillar activities
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Participate in safety and plant training
- Complete accurate records and reports in SAP plant maintenance system
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 4 years electrical/electronic/instrumentation experience in industrial/manufacturing environment (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be drug free
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (days and nights)
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electrical or Electronic Systems Technology preferred
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Ability to use a multimeter
- Ability to troubleshoot 24V DC and 120V AC controls
- Ability to work with 120V and 480V power
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
